This project aims to build a comprehensive, highly reliable, and intelligent wireless network and personnel positioning system to achieve real-time sensing and intelligent management of personnel, equipment, and the environment within the plant. This will fundamentally improve safety production levels and operational management efficiency, setting a new benchmark for building a modern smart water treatment plant.
Overview
To address the high operating costs, low efficiency, untimely equipment monitoring leading to high failure rates, and lack of timely warning for safety and environmental risks in traditional wastewater treatment plants, Maxon's industrial-grade product matrix provides comprehensive coverage for smart water management, encompassing three major areas: production areas, office areas, and main roads within the plant. This includes key locations such as the ozone generation room, sludge dewatering workshop, V-type filter pool, and comprehensive building.
Maxon's UWB+WiFi integrated positioning solution provides location positioning, historical trajectory tracking, real-time location tracking, intelligent attendance, electronic fences, video linkage, and two-way alarms.
1. Seamless Wireless Coverage Across the Entire Area
Based on the terminal density and building structure characteristics of each area, Maxon's outdoor dual-band wireless APs are precisely deployed, not only meeting positioning needs but also providing high-speed Wi-Fi coverage for office and production areas, paving the way for IoT applications such as mobile inspections and data collection.
2. Precise Personnel Positioning and Intelligent Safety Management
Real-time location tracking: Staff wear Maxon electronic tags, allowing their precise location distribution to be viewed in real time on the management platform.
Historical trajectory playback: The system fully records personnel inspection routes and activity trajectories, facilitating the optimization of inspection processes and accident tracing.
Hazardous area warning: Electronic fence technology immediately alerts when unauthorized personnel enter high-risk areas (such as sludge pools and specific equipment rooms), proactively preventing safety risks.
SOS emergency assistance: In case of danger, personnel can use the tag to send an emergency distress signal with a single click. The platform immediately locks onto their location and activates emergency procedures.
Value and Customer Benefits
Enhanced safety and risk control: Shifting from passive response to proactive warning significantly reduces the incidence of safety accidents and protects personnel safety.
Improved operational efficiency: Digital inspection management and personnel scheduling improve inspection quality and work efficiency.
Compliance and traceability: Meets national regulations for risk control and data traceability; all personnel activities and alarm events are fully documented and traceable. The cornerstone of smart water management: A stable and reliable plant-wide Internet of Things network has been established, laying a solid foundation for subsequent intelligent applications such as equipment status monitoring and energy consumption management.
By deploying Maxon's highly reliable and interference-resistant industrial-grade wireless APs/bridges, explosion-proof APs/bridges, and switches, a "invisible safety production network" has been successfully built for the wastewater treatment plant. This has achieved a qualitative leap from no personnel positioning to comprehensive coverage and from partial to full network coverage, making it a prime example of the deep integration of new-generation information technology with the water industry.
