Project Background
When hosting large-scale events or concerts, stadiums face a severe challenge: tens of thousands of spectators gather, and a massive number of terminals access the network simultaneously. Traditional WiFi networks are overwhelmed, leading to difficulties in user connection, video streaming lag, and delayed information interaction, seriously affecting the viewing experience and the stadium's modern service capabilities, and even posing potential risks to security and emergency communication.
Solution and Advantages
Maxon's wide-area high-capacity communication solution provides a stable, high-speed, and high-concurrency wireless WiFi network for the entire stadium (including spectator stands and activity areas), fully meeting the high-traffic demands of spectators, staff, and media personnel for internet browsing, video streaming, and social media interaction.
Based on the stadium's architectural plan and stand structure, we scientifically divide the stands into multiple 90-degree sectors. Maxon's industrial-grade wireless APs and high-gain directional antennas are deployed at the four corners of the roof, achieving precise coverage of each sector with a single AP and a single antenna, completely covering all stand areas.
This solution can actually support 800-2000 terminals simultaneously with high-quality "active use," and has the following core advantages:
High-Capacity Concurrency and High-Quality Wireless Coverage
Using external 18dBi high-gain directional antennas, supporting flexible adjustment of horizontal and vertical angles, precisely focusing the signal to cover the target area, providing a stable, reliable, and low-latency high-quality wireless network.
Efficient Anti-Interference Capability
Through precise planning of adjacent sector channels, signal interference is effectively isolated, creating a clean wireless transmission environment and maximizing the utilization efficiency of spectrum resources.
Flexible Expansion Architecture
Based on a modular sector design, each unit operates independently, allowing for flexible adjustment of partitions or expansion of coverage as user density changes, achieving smooth capacity expansion and precise deployment.
Intelligent Operation and Maintenance Management
With a wireless controller to centrally manage all APs, unified SSID, automatic load balancing, and seamless roaming are achieved, significantly improving the end-user experience and network operation and maintenance efficiency.
Solution Expansion Applications
The core advantage of Maxon's wide-area high-capacity communication solution is its ability to achieve stable, high-speed concurrent access in high-density user environments, making it equally suitable for other large open and high-mobility scenarios. For example, large-scale events and gatherings, military exercises, and border patrols.
